Former New England native, now living in Los Angeles, CA. Legal Limit is an artist, traveler, and lover of beats. Combining his skills as a producer, DJ, and VJ, Legal Limit has created a unique style of free form expression.
Legal Limit fell into the Electronic Music Scene at the turn of the Millennium and instantly fell love with the new music and culture that was surrounding him.

Originally inspired by the styles of Progressive and Hard House which dominated the scene in the year 2000, he started his journey into the realm of beats. After a few years of dedicated practice, his ears soon were adapted to different styles of mixing.

Craving new challenges, he rapidly progressed and evolved over the next few years. Around 2003, Break Beats moved into his life and from Nu Skool to Chunky Tribal, Legal Limit brought it to the dance floor. This was a time for him when his style and character as a DJ really started to take form.

Since 2006, Legal Limit has been playing with the sounds of Minimal Techno and Micro House. With this new genre and drive to produce, Legal Limit has taken his artistic soul and released it to the world. His DJ mixes are dirty and funky and his self produced tracks keep you bouncing off the walls.

When not DJing, you will find Legal Limit painting the walls of some of the wildest venues with out of this world video mixes. The visuals that he mixes live when VJing, are in sync with music, and always flowing, connecting your eyes and your ears to take you on a journey of sight and sound.

While living in New England, Legal Limit delivered DJ and VJ performances at great venues such as, The Hippodrome (Springfield, MA), The Phoenix Landing (Cambridge, MA), Portland State Theater (Portland, ME), and Club Rain (Springfield, MA) as well as many other places throughout the Northeast United States.

Since relocating to Los Angeles, Legal Limit has been tearing it up at some of City's hot spots such as, Vanguard, Ivar, Forbidden City, King King, The Edison Downtown, Hollywood Canteen, and The Libertine on Sunset.

Working always on creation, Legal Limit plays an active role in Synthetic-Sounds.com as both a business partner and artist. Focused on providing the people of the net, cutting edge new music, updated event schedules, electronic music resources, and by working closely with Ugroove.co.uk, Synthetic will provide fans with links to great videos of amazing performances and events from around the globe.

Recently, Legal Limit has become part of Minimal and Melodies Music, a record label based out of Budapest Hungary and looks forward to bringing many new sounds to the ears of the world.

Legal Limit has been moving bodies to the sounds of the underground for eight years now and has no intention of stopping.

“Music is my passion, Mixing is my peace of mind, and Moving your body is my pleasure.” - Legal Limit

What dance music has become is one guy with a white light on him and everyone else in the fucking dark, which is precisely how it wasn't meant to be.
- Tony Wilson, founder, Factory Records and the legendary Hacienda nightclub.

Despite the relentless persistence of the worldwide “superstar DJ” phenomenon, there are still soldiers in the DJ ranks determined to keep the light of which the late Tony Wilson spoke focused not on them, but squarely on the civilians on the dance floor. Los Angeles’ own Kent Christian has been in the trenches, entertaining crowds at clubs such as Vanguard and Avalon while producing his own unique brand of dance music. His first single, entitled “Confession” will be released worldwide on Bro.kn Records in July 2008, available at iTunes, Beatport.com, or anywhere dance music is sold.

Kent’s sound is a soulful blend of tech house and techno, the connective thread being the elusive element of groove. Recognizing that his work as a DJ is merely one element in the world of clubs and dance music, Kent duly pays respect to those who he feels deserve it most: “A DJ is only as good as the producers who supply him with his music, and there wouldn’t be a party without the loyal people who come out every week to show support - they are the true heroes of this movement.”

Seven years of experience in the ultra-competitive L.A. market are rife with milestones and noteworthy performances alongside John Digweed, Danny Howells, Lee Burridge, Gabriel & Dresden, Hernan Cattaneo, Ferry Corsten, Markus Schulz, and many more. As a co-founder of Twilight Productions he has helped countless up-and-coming DJs earn their stripes at venues throughout the city, and he recently placed second overall in a citywide DJ competition sponsored by LA Weekly.

You may not recognize him on sight, but you will definitely hear him. A self-taught audio engineer and a lifelong musician, twenty-nine year-old Kent Christian is primed to create the sounds of tomorrow. With brand-new, original productions set to be released throughout 2008, Kent Christian is at the forefront of the movement, pushing and playing nothing but “great music.”

Electronic music will always be fresh because technology is ever-changing and that’s what I find so appealing. - Kent Christian
